Here are a few pictures of the surgery my violin went through in early 2015. It was definitely scary, but everything worked out fantastically well. After the repairs, it took about 3 months for the instrument to really start working well. I laughed at myself plenty for constantly advising others to be patient, but then having very little of it myself. The first few pictures show some of the problems that needed to be fixed, followed by the repairs – done by Charles Arsenault at Wilder & Davis Luthiers in Montreal. Big thanks to him and to Tom Wilder for their expertise and advice as we went through it.
